01 — THE PROBLEM

A coffee expert can’t sit with every shopper.

For a Black Friday event at Galeria Mokotów, Nespresso and the agency IDEA KILO wanted visitors to feel like they were getting a private workshop with a coffee expert, even on the busiest shopping day of the year.

02 — THE BUILD

Three decisions that made it personal.

  1. Behind the scenes: the VR180 camera rig filming a conversation at the boutique counter

Film the expert face to face

Anna Oleksak, Nespresso’s Coffee Ambassador, was filmed in a Nespresso boutique explaining coffee’s journey to the cup and how to taste and tell varieties apart, like a connoisseur.

  2. Side-by-side VR180 frame of the Coffee Ambassador at the boutique counter

    VR180 for a comfortable, real 3D image

Shot on a Z Cam K1 Pro at 5.7K, VR180 gives a realistic, comfortable 3D image. Client footage took viewers further, to a coffee plantation and a factory that recovers aluminium from used capsules.

  3. The Coffee Ambassador holding a coffee capsule

An app to run the event

A custom Oculus Go app controlled playback across the headsets on the stand, so staff could run sessions back to back.
