01 — THE PROBLEM
Turn a popular mini-game into its own experience.
The quick-draw duel was one of the most loved parts of Wild West Saloon. The challenge was to expand it into a fully immersive, standalone mixed reality experience that would keep players coming back.
02 — THE BUILD
Three decisions that made the duel work in MR.

Players shrink, spectators tower
Duellists shrink to fit a tabletop arena, while spectators stay full size outside it, looking on like giants. It creates funny, dynamic moments between players and onlookers.

An arena that sits in your room
The arena is a barrel-top diorama placed in the player’s real space, with an in-world poster explaining the rules: listen for the signal, draw, shoot.

Draw fast, aim true, dodge bullets like Neo
Up to four players face off, or practise against a training dummy. The goal was smooth, intuitive gameplay with high-stakes Wild West drama and a touch of humour.
03 — THE IMPACT
